Crichton Collegiate Church
The Practice has been maintaining the Grade A-listed Crichton Collegiate Church since it was bought for £10 by local residents who established the Crichton Collegiate Church Trust to own and manage the building; the Trust being a model of its kind.
An initial phase of structural and external fabric repairs was grant-aided by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic Scotland and widely supported in the local community.
A subsequent phase involved the cleaning and repair of the exceptional and complete set of Victorian stained glass windows, with associated stone repairs, again with extensive fund-raising support. Removal of secondary glazing has prevented further condensation damage to the stained glass.
