Blue Cabin by the Sea
Overlooking Cove harbour and accessed only via a rock-cut tunnel and across a beach, the chalet was built in the 1920s as a holiday house.
By rearranging the internal layout, creating clever storage and updating the facilities, comfortable self-catering accommodation was created. Materials and fixtures of exceptional quality were used, and artistic touches introduced an element of theatre throughout. The work reused embodied energy, has high levels of insulation and a multifuel stove.
Since opening the Cabin has been extremely busy and given great satisfaction to families, artists, writers and even had a marriage. Guests appreciate the care to detail and all the personal touches.
