NEWS FROM NOWHERE…. is the title of William Morris’s famous Utopia of a future where beauty ruled and money and politics were abolished.  It was also a romance of going up the River Thames to Kelmscott Manor.  A recent visit showed that the village, the old house and its contents are all in superb condition, very well run by about 20 volunteers and only 2 full-time staff, and at a profit.  The house is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, April to September.
