BTA are once again opening our office to the public as part of the annual Doors Open Day event on Sunday, 30th September between 10am – 4pm.

Built on part of the City Wall, our building on Victoria Terrace has seen re-use over four centuries for various different enterprises.  Come and learn about the history of the building and surrounding area, admire the unusual views across the City’s Southside, including Heriot’s, Greyfriars and Arthur’s Seat, and see work by the Practice.

This year, we are also running a half day workshop (10am-12.30pm) for young people aged 16+ in partnership with the Edinburgh Steiner School.  ESS and BTA are currently working together on a campus development – ‘The Growing Spaces Project’ – to provide the school community with an improved learning and creative environment.

The workshop shall explore concepts for the entrance gate.  10 places are available, and can either be booked by emailing: or enquiring on arrival.  An ESS teacher shall be present, but it is advised that parents are in attendance.  Model making materials shall be provided.

BTA’s kindergarten  building at ESS is also open  on Saturday, 29th September.
