MACKENZIE BUILDING -
THE FACULTY OF ADVOCATES
Old Assembly Close, Edinburgh

The provision of Consulting & Training Rooms and Archive storage in a former derelict Heriots school, later an industrial wireworks and a Fringe venue, was carried out on a challenging site in Edinburgh's Old Town with almost no vehicular access.  Missing stonework was recreated after meticulous historical research.  Beautiful lettering and other high quality finishes were incorporated.  The original proposals also included new Reading Rooms which were not carried out.
